Who runs this site

acnespottreatment.org is a stand-alone site and acts as the controller for the personal data described here. Questions go to privacy@acnespottreatment.org.

What we collect

Counting visits

Statistics are sent from your browser to an endpoint on this site, /api/load, which hands them to an analytics provider (EU) that stores them in the European Union. Your IP address is included so an approximate location can be derived. One visit's pages are tied together by a random code in session storage that is deleted when the tab closes, so different visits stay separate. Statistics use no cookies. In the EU, nothing is counted until you choose "Allow".

The analysis link

"Start my analysis" and the other analysis links pass through acnespottreatment.org/spot-scan before reaching acne.today, an independent paid service. The link tells acne.today which site and which button you used, plus the spot type you picked. Anything you then give acne.today, including photos, answers and payment, is covered by its own privacy policy.
